Early Participants Can Join Live LCS Watch Parties, Play In-App Games and Receive Exclusive Rewards
GreenPark and the National Basketball Players Association Enter Global, Multi-Year Partnership
LOS ANGELES - January 15, 2021 - GreenPark Sports, the fan-focused publisher and developer of mobile games and social experiences, has announced that Early Access is now available for its upcoming namesake app, an immersive social platform for the new generation of sports and esports fans. GreenPark Sports also signed a multi-year global partnership with the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) to feature official NBA player gear and more in the game.
GreenPark’s Early Access will coincide with the inaugural League of Legends tournament LCS Lock In kicking off today. During the tournament, GreenPark Sports will offer live social experiences, where fans can explore the dedicated LCS Land and engage in exciting in-app competitions. In-app events and games include:
- Live Watch Parties: Join the LCS watch parties, where each match will live-stream play-by-play with real-time score keeping.
- Prediction Battles: Draw a set of in-game events and collectible player cards to predict the outcome of LCS matches, such as First Blood, Most Kills, Gold Differential - as well as the winner of each match. Players accumulate points for accuracy and win in-game rewards after the match wraps up.
- Dance Battles: Show off your Greenie avatar’s best moves in a rhythm battle game, earning energy for your team and moving you up the weekly leaderboard.
Early Access players will also receive exclusive in-app items including a special limited-edition LCS jersey and the players at the top of the leaderboards can earn a set of epic GreenPark Founder’s Gear, which includes a jersey, a cap, and blinged-out sunglasses.
Available later this year, GreenPark’s multi-year partnership with the NBPA allows GreenPark to use NBA players' names, images and likenesses within the app, offering fans a chance to earn and collect official NBA player gear for their avatar and to see their favorite players on the in-app NBA jumbotron. Player trophy collections, digital signatures and NBA player avatars will also be available at a later date. This follows a previously announced partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA).
To participate in GreenPark Sports’ Early Access, and to claim your official in-game name, reserve a spot with a valid email address at greenparksports.com, or by downloading the app on iOS or Android. Invitations to use the app will be sent out on a rolling, space-limited basis. Additional lands for upcoming and previously announced leagues will be rolled out over the next few months.
